Alone she fights with the problems of the conflict of the heroine’s doubts, the desire to act, the seeking for courage, and the burdening sense of the consequences of the power. The deeper she delves into Merlin’s mysteries, the more she realizes that this journey is not just about finding a lost wizard, but about discovering her true potential.
The novel uses strategies of putting the writer in the contemporary environment and the world of the fantastic and the technical. K.L. Anderson does a great job of painting a picture and giving the reader a fully realized experience of a young woman’s journey to find herself, come into her own with the help of a pet and, of course, to believe in herself. The Hunt for Merlin will be the crescendo that will make readers absolutely fall in love with this story and they will be looking forward to the succeeding sequels to the Evie story.
